The Power Of Gardening In Your Life- By: Kitty M Salzberg

Description : Is gardening or working in the yard all about toiling away and not full of joy for you? Would you rather be doing something else and simply pay for someone to take care of your lawn and garden? If this sounds like you then you very well might be missing out on a part of your life that could bring you great joy and satisfaction. Before we're done here, you might actually want to think about reclaiming some of those chores that you pay someone to do for you.

You, as a human being, have many desires and needs that you need in order to live a fulfilled life. You might not know it but there is probably a part of you deep down inside that is missing and actually needs to do a little gardening every once in a while. Getting in touch with nature and getting your hands a little dirty might actually be very good for you and your stress level. After all, we humans have been tending to the soil for many generations and there is a part of us that needs to feel grounded to the earth every once in a while.

You might say that you are too busy to work in the yard or tend to a garden. You work a job that is very demanding and you have a long commute back and forth to your job. Maybe you have children and you want them to do great things in life so you try to give them every opportunity to experience new things and participate in sports or after school activities. Having someone take care of your lawn and garden is just a practical decision. There simply aren't enough hours in the day and something has to give so you pay someone to take care of some of these little things.

I really want you to take some time this week and do something to get your hands dirty in your garden or yard. You don't have to go crazy and kill yourself trying to make everything perfect. It doesn't have to be a big thing. Even tending to one flower bed in an area that you can see every day would be a great little project that is manageable.

Each of us has the desire to nurture and care for something. For some of us this causes us to have children and have relationships. This need also transcends to gardening and the ability to create and nurture a small plot of land with our hands as we watch things grow and blossom can fill this need. Even if you have children, the satisfaction that comes from growing and tending to other living things is a basic need that gardening and landscaping can give you and very easily.
